First Lieutenant Daniel Frederick Dorman was born in Pennsylvania. He lived in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA.
First Lieutenant Dorman became part of the 101st Airborne Division, 327th GIR, 2nd Battalion, Headquarters Company. He served as a Glider pilot. During the Allied Airborne operation Market-Garden (September 17, 1944) he was shot down over Holland and died on October 7, 1944 in Zetten (Holland) as a result of the injuries sustained.
